With regards to the resources that Armoursmiths need to gather, which statistics am I looking for? I would assume Overall Quality is important, but what else?

OQ and SR make up the resists, MALL effects the encum and UT effects the condition.

Follow-up question:
Now, what actual materials do you armorsmiths always seem to be needing that follow the above stats rule ?

I am thinking of starting a new character and making it a pure crafter. I'm thinking Architect.
My question is, what is the best race for a crafter?

oh, also
What should i max out in my stats. Mind, Action, or Health. I assume the default for a artisan is not the best way.
Thank you for your replies.

From my experience your stats don't really come into things too often so if you're going pure Artisan it doesn't matter a great deal. If you are taking up another profession I'd change your stats to suit that, rather than to Artisan. I've had the default setup on my Artisan since creation and never had a problem.
Theres only the surveying that drains your ham and unless your levelling that you don't do enough for it to matter as you regen quick enough between surveys while looking for good resources.

Humans come with a built in artisan experimentation bonus, just so you know.

Those are about middle of the road stats. Those would be great for wound packs or stims. For buffs, try getting a little better power on the chem release and the SDS.For experimenting on ABECs: what I always do is experiment fully in charges then the remaining points I have I use in power. I do this because you can easily get 5-10 more chrages but if you experiment for power fully, you only get 10-20 more power which really isn't worth it.
