I have a set of Kashyyykian Hunting Armor (categorized post-CU as Assault Armor) that I've owned long before the CU.

I didn't play the game much since April, and now that I am back into it, I notice that I have a "Refit Armor" option on my armor. From what I understand, this option is for people who owned armor pre-CU that they weren't certified to wear post-CU. Bascially, refitting would convert your unwearable (uncertified) armor into the post-CU version you could wear, right?

What I don't get is why I have this option on the radial menu when I've been fully able to wear the armor just as I did pre-CU. Is there any reason why I should refit it? I have zero hindrance on the armor and I'd hate to lose that by mucking around.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,

The refit option is on ALL pre-cu armor, even if you're still qualified to use it.

OK, but should I refit? What are the benefits or detriments? Again, I am not sure I want to refit if I'd lose my zero hindrance or wind up reducing my protection stats.

Of course, if refitting would improve my stats, then I'd like to know that, too.

if you can wear the armor now there is NO advantage to refitting it outside the fact you will not be able to do it again.
