Thread: newbie armorsmith
You might double check, but I think bone armor gives you general crafting exp, not armor exp. I hate to see you burn resources for no reason if your looking for experience.
Selling Mabari on an established server is nearly impossible for a novice armorsmith in my opinion. If I was you I'd go into mining and stockpile what you need to practice your way up at least the techniques tree. Sell the resources you don't use to keep going. If you can stand grinding, you might want to get to up to Ubese and make the shirts. Deadly dull, but the experience seems to go fairly fast.
At least on my server, the top sellers are Composite, Ubese (with kinetic layers), and Padded,in that order.
You can sell it cheaper then you would want to on the bazaar, but you probably won't be able to sell too much. Get to Chitin and a few boxes in experimentation so you can get its kinetic up and that should sell on the bazaar. I used to sell Chitin for 100cr per %kinetic up to 2k max price. It sold fairly well in big towns.
Best tip is to sell on bazaar in big towns, bigger the town easier you can sell.
I don't know what the prices are on your server, but I was selling mabari on the bazaar for 500 a piece and 200 for the gloves. I also gave away free sets to every person that looked new. Why? UXP. I got XP when they use the armor. One day I got nearly 2k of XP and didn't craft a single piece of armor.Newtoonsare eager to wear mabari despite its low resists when you explain that a 6% resist will block 53% of the damage.
Does bone armor give armor crafting XP?
Wow it gets even better ,.. so u get xp when someone equips ur armor? is it a one time thing or is it recurring...
Well by definition, recon armor will have less kinetic protection and more energy protection. That is why we have the three types. Assault armor (like the bone you were making has higher kinetic protection at the expense of energy, recon more energy at the expense of kinetic, and battle is even among them both. So your Mabari will never have as good of kinetic protection as the bone, instead focus on making that more energy resistant.
If you knew that and I misunderstood your question, let me know.
i sort of understood that already.
Its just the fact i'm getting a big fat zero that is bugging me.
I've read theres a display bug, could that be the case here ?
