Thread: SOE Incompetence... again... or am I missing something... Any help would be appreciated...

I'm a fairly new armorsmith... so before i go bagging on SOE for yet another profession crushing screw up due to their inability to test ANYTHING....
I want to ask... if i'm missing something...
I've finally completed my suit and aquired some of the very highest resources available... and proceded to make two schematics for some Energy Layers... before i experimented on them they read
Kinetic -27
Energy 26
Ok.... so then i went ahead and experimented... both schematics and got amazing and great succ. to fill the bar...
Stats still read
Kinetic -27
Energy 26
What gives?...
I also went ahead and crafted two just for grins and the exact same thing happend with the exact same results...
Can anyone let me know?.. i REALLY don't want to waste a huge load of some extremely expensive resources if it's going to be a total waste....

It's just a display issue.
AS have been experiencing it on layers for a couple of publishes, but with pub 20 it spread to all items.
Your experimentations are working. They're just not showing untill you a) factory craft it, b) relog, c) Alt-tab also works for some.
There is a fix for it on TC. Whether it affects layers, which has been affected for longer remains to be seen.
But your experiments do not lose any quality. It just doesn't show for a while.

Ok great... i was fairly sure this was tied to the Exp. not displaying but i was under the impression it did not display until you were finished...
Ok so SOE incompetence... wow... there is a shock...

I've read a couple posts that claim that not all the experimentations are registering, even after the product is finished. I don't know whether or not those claims have any merit, but I'm not taking any chances. I don't have a big enough bankroll to eat the cost of a bad batch of armor segments or cores.
