Thread: Is it possible to make Recon and Assult Marauder Armor ?
Marauder is battle armor only
Battle - Marauder, Bone, Padded
Assault - Chitin, Comp
Recon - Mabari, Ubese, Tantel
as for the BH armor, its craftable only in the DWB i believe.. post-CU we (my guildmates and I ) havent been able to make it down that far.. LOL

For fear of going off topic... Armorsmith is *not* borked. Armor works. The schematics work. When you put it together it makes a useful thing that people actually want to buy, and then come back and buy more. Experimentation matters so as to distinguish good armorsmiths from better and worse ones. There is value in the skill points. You can make money. It is fun. There is variety. There are extra things beyond the skill set (RIS armor, DWB, etc). Compared to other professions, or other crafting professions, Armorsmith is a Gem!
So a few bonus things don't work, oh well.
If you think AS is "borked" try being a ranger or squad leader for a day. Then you will know what a great deal Armorsmith really is.
This is coming from an Armorsmith- pre CU and post CU.
I think the 'borked' sentiment comes from the numerous things that the last two patches broke. As a specialty high-end smith who does only custom work, my business was completely destroyed by the health enhancer bug and the faction armor trade bug. I can at least make and sell faction armor again now, but still no health enhancers, which is what the majority of my customers want.
On the other hand, the factory run/color bug is severely hurting any 'macro' smith who likes to run their armor in a signature color (or one other than default, lol).
Experimentation does not matter nearly as much anymore (post CU), and I can only think of one place where having 12 points seperates me from someone with as little as 9. Almost all of our expermentation has been changed to brainless single-line experiments that use 8-9 points only, even with server best materials.
All of that said, I still love the hell out of it. It is just dismaying that a few patches into the CU, we are worse off than when we started. There is still variety, there is extra content like Mando (even better when palettes are fixed), RIS, and soon BH armor.
