Wanting to make some nice padded with Energy resists to do some PVE- i.e kill stormies. On Bloodfin we havent had any good Yavinian wooly for a long while, but even while experimenting the layer special resist all the way up i only gotten like 63% Energy. That was with some pretty crappy duralloy and cubirian too. I can almost make unadvanced padded better than advanced with the resources i have. I guess the questions are

1) whats the highest special resist u've gotten on padded- bet u cant wear it w out buffs can u? Im going to try to play around with Nightsister shards to make it wearable

2) can u use krayt segments in padded- ive never seen 1 but i heard u can only use it for comp- is there a good looted segment besides NS shards or layers that u can use?

3) speaking of which - i havent experimented with NS shards or layers yet butby the looks of their stats i think u can make a better energy layer for instance than a NS layer- just throw a shard into the homemade layer and its gotta be better than a NSlayer,right? how come people pay more then for layers on the trade boards than shards?

Anyway i think padded looks badass especially w a comp helm- some of the colors u can make are nice- plus u dont look like every other shmoe standing by the ticket collector! I just wish it was worth a darn in battle. Any help besides find better resources would be great.
