Felllow Smiths,
How can I pretty much make armor repair happen? I am a master and tried to repair composite.. and poof... it falls apart.. does master give you any benefits? What is the best way to go about this? Thanks in advance...

Cross your fingers and hope for the best.
Armour repair seems very 'iffy' at the moment, no amount of skills or skill tapes seems to affect the results, it seems something like a 5% chance of 'minor blemishes' results, and around 25-40% of 'repair with condition reduced' results... all the rest seems to be critical fail 'fall apart' results.

i purchased some 100% armor repair tools the other night and i got very lucky with the repairs. i got "minor blemishes" on the chest piece
and i got max condition has been reduced on the helm, and boots. but i did get an only marginal success on the legs... so they are down a bit on condition.

I refuse to repair armor right now. Something is very wrong the last few weeks. On one occassion, a guy gave me a suit to repair. The suit was at about 50% durability. 9 straight 'successes'. I look and ALL 9 pieces have gone negative. What a crock of.....and this was using the 99.09% kits. Im telling everyone to wait for pub 8...maybe itll be better.

More useless armor just like RIS.... Mandalorian. Why do I make that statement, you ask?
Because no one... and I mean NO one wears these armors for combat.... The Armor repair system either stinks beyond reality or is broken.
.
So untill they fix how armor repair works... RIS, Mandalorian, all special armor is a waste of time to get.
.
I really wish someone would spend more time fixing broken game processes / systems then adding content that really adds nothing.
.
Thank you for putting up with my small rant.
.
Best Regards,

I have been very lucky since starting to play again. I have been asked to repair three or four suits in the short time since my return. I have only failed on one piece. I repaired one person's suit who had condition as low as 799 on pieces. I do not have any armor repair skill tapes. So, it seems to simply be based on luck atm. I don't know...maybe there is some hidden modifier. Who knows.

Weaponsmiths also have greatly reduced chances of 'minor blemishes' repairssince publish 7. Our correspondent brought it up in the correspondent forum and was told that nothing was changed, the system is the same as before, and the large amount of data supporting this claim is somehow completely wrong.

Hmmm, I've only seen stuff go negative when it has 0 condition. That's a nasty bug, whole suit down the drain.
