Hi,
I have been read the advanced guides some time ago and I have been trying to get my head round some of the things that were said in the armour fundamentals guide (and yes I've looked all over the fourm)
"On the other hand, if the Armor Piercing value of the weapon exceeds the Armor Rating of the armor the weapon does an additional 25% damage for each level that it exceeds the Armor Rating."
ok so this make sence but later on it says .....
"The bone gloves are then struck by the power hammer for 200 base points of damage. The power hammer does blast damage which is a Vulnerability. As a result, the bone gloves offer no protection and the damage is not modified, resulting in a final amount of 200 points of damage"
So my query is that these bone gloves offer no protection to the damage so it is an un-modified value, where as if the gloves were not vunrable to blast but were still light then there would be a damage modifier of + 25% i.e 250 points of damage, because the Hamer has AP of medium?
Does this mean that if you are wearing light armour that you take more damage from a medium AP wepon than if you are wearing no Armour at all? or should there have been a +50% modifier to the above example i.e Ap medium Vs Ar of none
Hope somone can claer this up for me

What AP does is that it multiplies the damage for every level above the AR of the armor it hits by 1.25. But when it hits something that is a vulnerability the game dont count it as an armor and thus you will not get the added bonus of the AP damage. This explains why you will do more damage to enemies with for example low energy resistance with a T21 than you would had they been vulnerable.
Most of the community currently considers this a bug.
Oh and AP2 vs AR0 isnt a 50% damage increase its 1.25x1.25
