Thread: Need a Very Nice Armorsmith to Help

I know this will probably take alot of your time, but no doubt it will help me as well as many other future armorsmiths. I have been wasting many resources trying to figure out how to make some kinetic composite with 80% kinetic and over 60% base resists. I'd also like to keep my HAM down if I possibly can.(I don't have money for exp tapes). Please, if someone would be so kind, go through step by step how to make a set of 80% kinetic composite. Try to give me an idea as to how your resources stats look, and where to place your experimentation points in the layers, followed by the segments and then the actual armor. Thank you very, very, much in advance to anyone that is able to post and help.

lol, well, i was actually planning on it, as soon as I perfect it. So to anyone that was looking forward to a reply to this post, i'll take care of it for you as soon as I think it will actually be of some help.

It depends far too much on your resources to see what you can make before anyone can tell you what you can and cant make.
1. Find out what your unlayered composite is (resist wise)
2. Then split the difference between this base resist and 80% between kinetic layer and base on the kinetic layer. Make sure that you put a lot of experimentation into the durability (ham reduction, top bar) of the layer to keep the encumbrance down)
For example:
My unlayered composite is 54-55%
My kinetic layers are 2% base, 6% kinetic.
This gives 62% base (55+3x2+1% from rounding) with 80 (62+3x6) kinetic.

Oh yeah as for layers:
I make them with 1 point in base (middle bar), maxxed top bar, and the remainder in the bottom bar. However, I do have 12 exp points, so you may need to reduce the experiment spend on the top bar to counterbalance the effect.
The materials used should be primarily high OQ and Mal - for example, aluminiums for the metal, and high OQ/MAL polymer - the gemstones are usually a bit difficult to find with high MAL, so just use high OQ and SR for that instead (though aim for 500+ mal)
When working on the main assembly, fill the middle bar experiment wise, then put any remainder into the top bar. Make sure you have at least 1 point into the top bar to enable the special resists to correct themselves.
