Thread: the #1 best armor youve ever seen
100% to all resists except stun composite boots ( Intrepid- Yaman bought them when they FAILED THE REPAIR *whimper*). No, they weren't made by an armorsmith, they dropped off a krayt. Ham was in the 20's as well. Also, was just before the patch that dropped slicing max to 90%.
Another smith still here made a pair of 100% gloves, believe on Valcyn...

How did those boots ever get to the point where they would need to be repaired? Was the original owner of the boots using them in PvP and thus letting the bootsget worn down by Stun damage? If that's the case, that's just insane. If I had any pieces of pre-nerf 100% composite I would be using them only against PvE targets that I knew never did Stun Damage, and thus ensuring the armor would never wear out.

I think you have it backwards.... the damage that it prevents reduces the condition of the armor. Not the damage that gets by. So 100% would decay even faster than usual.

Most common misconception involving Armor. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. If this were true, then 5% Mabari would last a ton of time longer than 80%composite, even though the initial condition is much less. Try 5% mabari against a descent mob, and watch how quick the condition goes down. far faster than it will with 80%composite. check the armor FAQ at the top of the page, many people contributed to it with ingame tests and such, and the fact of the matter is that armor condition goes down by the amount that gets through, not by the amount absorbed. Logistically it doesn't really make sense, but from a gameplay standpoint, it is the best way for the system to work.
