What exactly is needed to make a set of Padded Armor? Which stats should I be looking for first?

I am willing to get what I must to have a armorsmith make me a good set of the stuff, regardless of the inferiority to composite. I am going on a composite strike.

I might even go armorsmith for a while until I make a few sets of it I like. Of course, by then, maybe armor will be fixed.

Armorsmith is not a class one can really dabble in.

I can still go master armorsmith and retain some of my other skills.
