Hello,

Does anyone know if the FS crafting bonus will stack with Skill Tapes or is the experimentation capped at +12? I am getting mixed reports about this.

I think it would be nice if it did you would basically have 5 levels of Armorsmiths.

1) Non established smiths with 10pts that haven't done the quests

2) Non established smiths with 12pts

3) Established smiths with 10pts that haven't done the quests

2)Established smiths with 12pts that have completed the quests

3) Established smiths with 14pts that have completed the quests and have +20 skill mods

This does creater a longer End game for Armorsmiths but at the same time I wouldn't want to be a lone newbie AS starting amoungst these 14pt smiths.

It was changed to simply provide better chances of amazing success on experimentation.

Personally, I don't want to have to jump through SOE's FS hoops just to craft armor as well as my peers. I thought that way before I got 12 points, and I still feel that way.

I was deeply dissapointed they decided to drop the extra +2 FS expreimenting crafting bonus. I have yet to see the thread were this disscusion took place about people debating the +2 armor exp FS bonus.

The serioussmiths will do what is required to get the bonuses. The ones that are not serious, will not bother. That is my feeling on the matter.

There is ways for up coming AS to get in the game, it will just take some time. One way they can make money is by selling resources. Once they have obtained enough money they can buy the Armor Expreimentation Tapes like the rest ofus serious AS did. If they do not want to compete in the armorsmith business, then they should find another profession.

Anyhow most up coming smiths will be at disadvantage anyhow, unless they been harvesting AS resource for while. It takes about 6-9month to compete in the AS business.

So that cop out of +10 versus +12 or +14 for that matter, is just pure BS. The only advantage a +12 has over +10 is ham cost. I am not sure about what a +14 would have but if they have excellent resources, their armor will sell regardless.
