Okay,Iam just starting armorsmith, and I need some serious help. I am grinding armor repair tools. but it takes a lot of resources and a lot of time..is there anything that's better? Also, I need cheap or free resources for grinding.

On a similar note, what path should i take. should i go up the tech tree first? or what?

Thanks for all those who help me. And for those who don't, burn in Hel.l.

The faqs stickied at the top will give you more specifics, but grinding consists of armor upgrade kits or armorweave chest peices. I advise actually making armor to sell some of the time, otherwise you will get burned out.

I harvest my own resources, its cheaper than buying stuff. For grinding just get anything, stats don't matter.

Start looking at SWGCraft.com for spans of the named resources, some stuff goes months between spawns.

It really dosen't matter which way you go, you want master. You can't dabble armorsmith. Just pick tech or armor, then do the other, then finish.

/agree definitely read and re-read the stickies they'll answer 90% of your questions.

BTW definitely do the Tech Tree 1st!

Gather resources to make the better armors now. When a good spawn of amorphous gemstone or axidite iron spawns, mine it, even if you don't need it yet, you'll really really want it down the road, and you'll be thankful you don't have to go buy it for 10 cpu.

Before all your skill points are used up, pick up enough tailor to make schems for synth cloth and reinforced fiber panels. You can drop it later on. Unfortunately I dropped my tailor at the same time I decided to go for armorsmith and I've spent a small fortune on this stuff since. Although I've found some vendors where i can get it for 2650 a crate now I've spent as much as 5k when I was desperate.

I also strongly recomend you pick up a strong combat prof, like tk or sword, and as much scout as you have skill points for. Even if you read the posts on this forum casually you will see many complaining abt a lack of decent hides. To make good Ubese, Padded and Comp you will need good Leathery and Wooley Hide. Rangers will charge you anywhere from 35 - 50 cpu for good stuff, more when its rare. Monitor the good spawns on swgcraft and gather the good stuff while you can. It can be months in between good spawns of hide.

Good Luck

Dont know about your last questions
But for the harvesting of resources Id recommend getting yourself a nice harvesting droid with some 108-9 rating.
Im using one with only novice scout, with that Im harvesting like a Master Scout :-)
