10% Base Effectiveness Layers (11 of em)
I'm a smith but I've never used nslayers to make a seg and the highest until now that I've looted were all 3%.
What kinda result can I expect on composite ?

Instead of adding 4% to your final result, these layers will add 10%

So you wouldnt have to layer the composite armor so much, resulting in lighter armor in terms of encumberence, but still very good base stats.
Im a newbie Master armorsmith, but i reckon you could get 80% base composite using only two layers with those.

Very nice! WishI had them. easily make armor with all stats in the 80+% range or standard 80/70 format with lot of experimented on condition.

Well I make 80/80/70base now ... HAM 818 | 751 | 839
What do you reckon would be the best way to use em up ? hehe

Save them for a special suite.
But assuming you did want to do comp... Look at what you have for your 80/80/70 comp layers, add up the base of the 3, then subtract 10... make new layers to hit the target value but apply the rest of the point to encumb or leave out layers. Id add an extra base point just to account for fractions in your existing.

In my short stint as AS (about 3 months) i found the best use for layers is to mix and match other layers with it. Try and get ahold of 2 more sets of 11 (any base%). I wasn't the best smith out there due to not having the uberest of resources (and only having 10 pts to work with) but my 3 layer kin comp usually came out 62% base using 3% base layers.
You can get more use out of a large set of layers by using multiple sets. Throw in a nice set of 11 shards and you can have some really nice high base/ low ham armor.
Another method would be to use rancor hide as the enhancement. The special resists would be heat and cold, and if i remember correctly they also have a base% attached to them.

probably close. My unlayered stuff is 58% or so depending on what hide im using for that set so a pair of 10%layers would put that at 78% unsliced with 2 layers.
If i had them i would use them for making RIS since comp would eat so many of them to make anything aside from gloves.
