Hey guys! Brand new armorsmith here. I debated on whether or not I should post this in the galaxy trade forums or here. Don't flame me if I'm wrong. Been doing some mining lately and one of the resources I have is Vertex Crystaline Gemstone. I looked it up on the boards here and found it to be an important part of amor layers. Does this stuff come into shift much? Should I hold on to it until I become a Master and need it myself? Is it worth that much? I have about 70k of the stuff....
Thanks ahead of time for your help.

what are its stats?
especially Overall Quality and Shock Resistance is impoartant.
If you want to hit low ham you should have high Mallebility, too.

It really depends on the stats.I'd rather have SOME of the required resources than none. But some stuff just isn't worth keeping. If the OQ+SR is greater than 1500, then keep it. If not, keep it anyway for a rainy day. As an Armorsmith, there's no such thing as "too many resources".

I used to think that too now im reconsidering. With 7 houses and a novice merchant vendor filled to capacity along with some overflow in my factories i am about to start culling some i belive

When it comes to vertex you will want to look for a combined OQ+SR well into the 1800s. The reason being is that vertex is known to spawn with all stats in the 900s except for MA which seems to be gated. I personally already have multiple bricks of two different vertex spawns with over 1800 OQ+SR.

Thanks for the input so far guys...
As far as the stats go, the OQ is 715, the SR is 935 and the MA is 397.
Does that help?

I would hold onto that.
If you only have 75K of it it will only take 1 item spot to store it.

That isn't worth much imho, any smith who's been around has been around long enough to collect vertex with 900+ OQ. The other stats don't matter really because as a named resource they're gated in a very narrow range. So every vertex will have 900+ shock. Every vertex will have mall in the high 300's.
So as a smith I had access to some very readily available 800ish oq vertex when I was a noobsmith, and then as time went by I collected better spawns until I got the stuff I'm using now.
I started with triiam when I first started armorsmithing 834/925. Moved to carbtetraide a couple months later 845/988. And now I use moope at 904/968. And now I keep my eye's open for spawns with still better stats.
So unless your server has been really unlucky with vertex, then oq 715 isn't worth much. A starting smith might be interested in vertex like that, but chances are he could find better, at still close to grind prices.
edit: And I guess I should pay more attention to the messages I'm replying too
. Hold on to it for now, but my advice would be to hold off on making stun armor till you have better vertex, it isn't that rare in my experience, so you should be able to pick some higher quality stuffup by buying it, or by making other armor's till something better spawns.

Depends on server, Chimeara's best Vertex is 600 OQ 900 SR *groan*

Damn that sucks. Like I said our server has recently had two different spawns of 900+/900+ OQ/SR (moopoe and hori) so it would not be worth much on Bria.
