Thread: Mabari Chestplates

I was hunting huurtons for 2-3h in a newly made mabari suit, I was fighting mainly huurtons of different kind but also some other things lurking around, quakers, voritors etc. I can't say for sure there where no armor holes, I din't look for it. BUT here comes the strange thing, one would think that the chest would take a lot of damage but it didn't, at the end of the hunt the armor had the following cond.
Chest: 41411/45734 (4323)
Pants: 38321/43975 (5654)
Helmet: 37750/43975 (6225)
This includes 2 deaths.
Maybe the huurtons aim a lot for the head, I don't know but it does seems a bit strange to me.

I know the Mabari had armor holes during testing, dunno if they fixed it.
Don't think it covers the arms, actually. In fact, I could wear marauder arm armor on top of the mabari chest piece on TC-EP3 a few weeks ago (You end up looking like a rather dorky goon, though). They might have fixedthe armor holesin the last week of testing or so, I wasn't able to log on during that week.

I havent had a chance to check this but I am assuming that since a Mabari chestplate covers chest, and 4 arms and that it actually blocks damage to all 5 of those hit areas.
If that is true there are 2 things I've noticed. One is you can wear other armor biceps. So are we sure a mabari chestplate has no "holes".
The other issue is since this piece covers 5 hit points isn't it going to take 5 times more damage than say a chitin chest, l bicep, r bicep, l bracer and r bracer? If it does then the condition is very low for this piece. On five other armor piecesyou get about 225k in condition total. On the mabari chestplate it comes out just like any other piece around 45k.
I'd like to see the mabari chestplate's condition be multiplied by however many slots it is actually covering.
