What is the highest Energy resist Assault Armor can be crafted to have?


Soon going to be using a template where Assault is the only option...

about 6k.


Basically armor works like this.


Battle armor has NO mods to resists. Cap is 6000 before layering. 'perfect' layers are theorized to be able to add 1200. But I dont think anyone has made 100% experimented ones yet. So best you can usualy hope for is about 1000+


Assault armor is +1000 Kinetic, -1000 Energy.

Recon armor is +1000 energy -1000 Kinetic.


So basically with really good layers the best you can usually hope for is to reverse the bonus/penalties on the asasult armor. Turning it into extra expensive battle armor at 6000 or so to both.

I guess that works for me. In the end (and if I pick up on how stats work correctly)6000 energy resist armor is 46% energy damage mitigation whereas 7000 energy resist armor is 54% damage mitigation. A difference of 8% I think I can live with I guess.


I think the armor system is crappy in that respect. Certain classes are stuck with armors that make them more suited, however so slightly, toward one type of gaming or another. PvE vs. PvP.
