Is it possible to craft 7k energy resist Battle armor with only a 30% rate of fire debuff?
The template I am looking at won't get a battle armor cert from master box.... so wil be 40% for the others but only 30% for ROF.
thanks in advance.

No, we can't experiment on hindereces. We can make a basic (instead of the advanced we usually make) core that would have lower hinderences, but I don't think you can get much above 4000 in resists with it.

Capped standard cores would have 30 percent hindrance with unlayered resists of 4000. You could get energy layers added to boost the energy protection by 1100 or more. Looks like 5100+ energy is the best you could hope for with 30 percent hindrances. Still, that wouldn't be bad at all when coupled with a nice PSG. The trick is finding an armorsmith who will do the custom work.

Well, thanks for the info guys, but this template and armor would be for fighting jedi... and If I could only get 5.1k on the energy resist (PSGs don't mitigate melee energy), I'd be better off getting layered Assault armor.
Thanks again for the info...... if you guys need any help crossing over to the Ranged proffesions, lemme know... I've been all of them in the CU.
