Thread: The Elusive NS Shards

I've had no luck looting Nightsister Shards though I've killed many of all levles and flavors of NS throughout Dath, even their pet rancors. I'd buy them but they just don't seem to be available on my server's vendor search or trade forums. I once envisioned having several stacks to offer as tributeto the almighty socket gods but now will be happy to just get what I need.
Any suggestions for improving my chances of looting these things? Any particular locations or type of NS or minimumlevelI should focus on? I've even tried the Wookiee Hunting Dance to no avail. Should I chew strawberry flavored bubblicious or is it just a bad streak of luck?

i got no advice to offer, but you seem to be going in the right direction. just keep trying. and good luck, health enhanced recon armor is most definately worthy.

they once dropped the best loot about, now they hardly drop... and mostly crap.
Yesterday Myself and a friend must have killed 30+ of them at the NS-stronghold. We got some crap food, and a stack of NS shards. And thats it. No crystals of any kind, no lances.
Its just luck I'm afraid, the whole loot tables are a mess. Except if you are a BH.

Yeah.. just go to the stronghold and the cave, and start killing. Spent a lot of time out there.. the more you kill, I believe, the larger the chance for action is

yea killing 30+ of them is not going to cut it. You really need to kill alot of them. to me it feels like you have to kill 100 of them. The cool thing tho is that i got a set of some with +11 health stats, not bad.

the only reason i have any is from guildees giving them to me, or the surpluss i had had pre CU... the few i have seen that have droped post CU are no higher than +8 ....
