I'm just wondering what i should look at when buying armor and what each category does. I have a suit of bone armor but thats terrible. Any help would be appreciated.

Depends on your price range.

If your willing to sacrifice stats and money(120k for 50%60k for around 35%)for great pvp/melee armor then go for Composite. Keep in mind your gonna spend the next two days adjusting your stats just so you can wear the **edit** stuff (unless of course you LIKE being forced to keeping yourself constantly buffed). The payoff is worth it IMHO.

If you are looking for something that isn't utter suicide on HAM but also gives you fairly good protection then I suggest ubese. Ubese looks decent and it's not that expensive foranice set. It's so common you can be very picky about how much you pay. I'm not sure what the price range is..it varies greatly I think.
