Armorsmiths,
Good evening. I am working on making my first batch of primus layor, and much to my dismay I have either came across a bug or am not doing it right. Here is the list of resources I have below to include their oq sr stats:
Gravitonic Fiberplast: oq719 sr994
Polymer: oq883 sr837
Neutronium Steel: oq987 sr725
Perovskitic Aluminum: oq749 sr526
Vintrium Extrusive: oq761 sr936
After the primus layer is assembled here are my stats:
Standard Protection:
Kinetic: 11
Energy: 11
Special Protection:
Heat: -12
Cold: -12
Acid: -12
Electricity: -12
Sepcial Protection Experimentation at 23% (the only experimentable element)
During the experimentation phase I place 10 experimentation points into special protection (first 7 then 3).
Here is the problem:
The standard protection and the special protection is not changed. Could this be a bug? or is there something I have overlooked?
I read the Armorsmith math thread and to my understanding, the cap of this layer is 50/-50. Why am I not changing my defense upon successful (or perhaps unsuccesful behind the scene in this case) experimentation.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you fellow armorsmiths.

It's a display bug and a kjnown bug since right after (CU Pub 17 or 18 I think?)
Try ALT+TABing, logging out, or running a schematic through a factory.
Running a shematic and taking out the final component from the out hopper will show correct stats.
The other 2 methods only work sometimes.

Yup. It's not you doing anything wrong, its the system. We've had this bug for a month or two now, what I usually do is make the schematic, put it in the factory long enough for it to make one layer, and then open the output hopper and look at the layer. Then the correct stats will show.

From the looks of your resources, I have a feeling your layer will end up in the high 30's or maybe even hit 40.

awsome.. for the answer. shenanigans to the bug... heh. I'll run it through the factory and find out....
the best prize is a "sur" prize, but in this case..... it's not. hah

I just added all the stats and divided it and made a wild guess. LOL

Ok gotta ask, what is considered a good primus layer? What is considered an excellent layer?
Also what is considerd a good Energy/kenetic layer?
