...how much would the armor cost then roughly? (I'm on Valcyn if this helps with the estimate)
I'm just returning to the game after a 4 month break due to low funds and no cable internet, so things have changed alot concerning armor. As well as this, where can I loot the advanced Battle and Assault cores needed for RIS and BH Armor?
Thank you for listening to a man turned n00blet by the CU.

Simply put, very minimal.
Expect to pay 100K at the very mostto the greediest AS.
Giving the smith some extra loot like Janta Hides or whatnot that you might have laying around in exchange for a set is always nicetoo if you're bringing in the cores.
See Thula's Guide in the stickies for your other questions.

Ifyou can find someone who'll make RIS for you for 100k, even if you bring all the stuff, then that's a very kind and trusting AS indeed. I was doing a similar deal on my server, briefly, until I caught a rather conniving pair turning around and reselling the suits for 10 million--even after agreeing that the suits were for their own wearing or display, and even after I'd swallowed the cost of a couple bad combines.
However, for other suits, 100k or less if you provide the cores is quite reasonable, and if you want advanced armor, it'll surely save you some cash. (I also find looted cores often have better condition than I can get with server resources.)

Yes I am on Bria which is wothout a doubt the greediest damn server around and I normally charge between 50-100K to craft a suit for someone who brings their own cores. This is a simple reasoning: First I use the best stuff I have to make the suits and so even though the appearance resources are not too hard to come by they are still very expensive(And they determine a good portion of the max condition). And more importantly (and the main reason you still have to pay a hefty charge) is the simple good old fashioned reason of "I was the one who had to grind the skills". And the most important part of my pricing is that when I do this it is almost always while I am standing outside Theed starport or somewhere else. I charge a little extra just for the convenience and speed I offer.
In the end if you have the patience to do it you can easily find a lower-grade AS that doesn't feel you are wasting their time asking them to actually craft a suit for you. If you find the right one and plead your case properly you should have no problem finding at least one AS that will do it for a generous tip. I myself have a customer who earns himself a free new marauder suit every week or two just by bringing me in cores. I also end up paying him extra he brings so many. (Hint: 11 cores are needed to make a suit. Bring the AS 5 bundles that equal 30-40 cores and you can maybe trade it straight out. Make you a suit, keep the cores.)

Thanks for the response, and just in time too. Looted 8 Advanced Battle Cores (4665 resists) off a mark last night. How many cores go into a suit anyway?
11 eleven cores go into a suit but you need 3 identical cores for a battle chest plate, and 2 identical cores for the helmet and leggings. Armor pieces take one core each. Those cores will give you 5065 resists once assembled (rule of thumb: just add 400 to the core protection to get the stats of the armor made with it).

Saki, if you or another player is killed with these in their inventory it damages them. Just use an armor repair tool on the last one....(only ther last one, that way any lowerring of condition is only on the last piece)

Another good rule of thumb: if it's a 5-stack of looted cores, assume only four will work. I have a lot of problems with the "last" core not working; instead I get a message that the item is too damaged to use. Sometimes it'll fix itself, sometimes if I unstack everything really really fast so I can 'unstack' the final one several times it'll work--but more often, it just winds up useless.
