Thread: Armor Sales how are they? And does anyone really make grind armor?

I see a lot of armorsmiths that have a lot of HIgh End Armor. I know you guys make the best, and I typically just see high end armor.

For me I see armor as style. I carry all armor certs, except that battle only has partial mitigations. Full mitigation for assault and recon, and only 20% mitigation on Battle.

First of all:

1. Findingan armorsmith is hard.

2. Finding an armorsmith that is going to talk to you and have time for a special order is doubly hard.

3. Asking an armorsmith to make RIS with standard cores (so that mitigations are below 20%) puts me on their blacklist...

Why don't armorsmiths want to make armor with less than stellar resists? I thought making RIS armor with less than 20% hindrances would be a challenge, but instead I get flamed for being sacriligeous to suggest making RIS with around 2000 resists...

Hey I'm the one to wear it, and I'm not going to wear armor that's going to hinder me.

Oh well.... I'll just switch over to BE clothes, at least tailors are much more amicable to making special orders. And I find out during grinding that BE Clothes work just as well.

Anyway my two cents. This is not a flame, I just need advice on how to approach armorsmiths without offending them. I mean I will be the one collecting all the loot. I just want an RIS to have less than 2000 resists... so that I can grind with it... Is that so bad?

Get with deaconbrodie ingame I will make the RIS.

As far as special orders go they take way to much time for the most part I do special orders and the last person that I did it for was a pain.It took nearly 3 hours. It was grinding armor and only cost them 300k hardly worth the time or aggravation. They knew hardly anything about armor and would not read the forums to get any of their info. Alot of individuals out there think the armorsmith is here to guide them and teach them every aspect of the game. The reason we mostly make high end stuff is (lets be honest) the money. I can sell suits for for 300k or for 2 mil. There is a big difference in price. Also we take pride in our armors we want it to be the best. Hope that helped answer your question

Its like going to a weaponsmith and asking him to make a gun with rubbish sac and dmg who wants it is the question

also we usually have cores and stuff ready so we would have to custom custom make that armour and in some peoples opionion its not worth the hassel which is fair enough we are nto here to provide a service for people we are here to have fun our selves

If someone brings me the cores, I do it super cheap. That's where 90+% of the resource usage is anyway.

I pretty much only do unlayered armor. Have a bunch of cores ready to go.

I would not make low quality cores for an order. Just too much hassle.

It's definitely a time factor. Low-end stuff requires the same factory parts as high-end armor so there's a lot of setup involved. As was suggested, looted cores is the way to go for low-end armor. Assembling armor from looted cores takes only a ten minutes of work.

1) after the CU 80% of the AS population quited the game or the profession on our server, so reamining have a teribble bussy job, my shop is backwaterd some where in a player city.... not on planetary map and not in my sig any more... and people still find it to mutch to have a 30hr job a week to stock
2) explaining every 30min your online the same questions over and over again makes gaming boring, I personaly dont even log on, on my AS toon on main US times
3) I spended a 6 months project on my personal RIS project 1 year ago.... it turned out the best RIS suit ever pre CU and I cry next to it what the CU did to it and dicided to make never RIS again (quote of TH him self..... THE BEST ARMOR BEVORE THE CU WILL BE THE BEST ARMOR AFTER THE CU..... yeha ride 80% kinetic 90% base 154/50/125 enc RIS suit went to 5125 on all stats..... realy patetich of the defs)

most old style AS's are full of frustration in this game because of farius bugs, what also made a lot of AS quit and made armorprices very high

I stock also Grind suits.... but those suits are pre CU composite.... where the CU left me with 600 suits of useless armor 100k a suit compared to 700k a suit for fully layerd armor
