Ok so my saber has 100 action cost (SAC), and leg hit (for example) costs 9 action. How does saber SAC influence action cost of skills? Cause I dont see the connection. Can someone please enlighten me?

i could be wrong but i think it works like this. . .

- each attack has an action cost modifier, in this case Leg hit modifier = .09

- saber has an action cost of 100 which is multiplied by the modifer of each attack

- Attack cost (.09) * SAC (100) = 9

I think this same formula is used for for Force Cost as well . .

For reference, my saber is 95 SAC go my action costfor leg hit is 8.55

Ok that would make sense, but can we confirm this?

I know this is a weaponsmith question but I posted it here because I know you guys are definately smart!

If a player had zero foods or spices for sake of discussion.........I'm trying to get a better understanding of the SAC number.

My question is this: How many more hits would a player get using a rifle with a 82 SAC compared to a rifle with a 102 SAC?

My first thought would be just 1 or 2 but someone said otherwise?

Thank You for any help

Though since i'm also a WS. Lower SAC is better. Anything indepth. I suggest you post on the WS boards.

Acutally alot of people dont. Just do a vendor search. On bria at least. You'll find thousands of weapons with SAC over 120. Very few with low SAC overall.

But as I said. If you want specifics go to the WS Forum. Most of the AS on here dont know much about it since this is hte place to discuss making armor. Not weapons. Nuff said. Not sure why people insist on putting blatantly out of place posts in crafter forums. Even when they admit they know it's not really the place for it.

The sort of question yoru asking woudl take alot of research and input. Short of a Dev posibly giving an answer. The latter isnt likely to happen. And the former. Isnt likely to happen in this forum.

I know that the lower SAC numbers are better on guns but my question is this:

If a player uses a rifle with a 82 SAC number compared to using a rifle with a 102 SAC......How many more shots would he get off before his action is gone?

Lets assume no food or spices for comparison!

Lets assume damage PUP's not action reducing!

My first thought was 1 or 2 but someone said otherwise?

if for example you get 20 shots with 82 sac, then add 20 sac (which is 20%) you will get 20% fewer shots.

meaning you will get 16 instead of 20.

that's not really correct.

Say you compare 80 and 100 sac.

The 20 sac is 25% of the 80 so it would be 15 then

Well i don't really know if there is a difference you would be able to say like you want us to.

Because it depends on your regen mods(foods/drinks/spices) and what special you are using.

Heck, I'm flattered that he asked 'cause we seem smart. At least it wasn't a price check. My question is What did the weaponsmiths say?

To the OP, I say go get the two weapons in questions and find out. The answer depends on the action cost of the special you're using and the action recharge rate, whatever it is.

I am no WS and i see it this way, 100+ sac your action dies, 90+ you can fight for a while against one single target and with sac bellow 85 my regen and i can fight decent for large amount of time and with booster blue makes me able to fight for a very very long time that does work so well with guns above 85 sac. Exact nummber i dont have i only got how the guns feel in the field from a proffessional user of them.

Fein out

Then you need to take into account +200 action regen foods...
