Thread: Best way to get the Tailor parts for Armour?

I decided to try AS on another server with a Wookiee. I thought it might be fun to have a bit of Pistol skill and make nice Wookiee armour for myself, and anyone who felt like buying some later.
I admit, I didn't research the schematics. I had this daft idea that, if it gives me the schematic, I can make all the parts 
So - I discover I need Tailor items - in crates. Now, as a newbie to Eclipse, I don't have a factory and I don't have lots of Tailor skill and I don't know any tailors. So, before I decide how to go forward, I thought I'd ask:
How do you guys get your 'Tailor parts' for armour?
Do you buy it from a Tailor 1 on 1?
Do you know Tailors who sell crates of the stuff on vendors?
Do you pick up Tailor skill and make your own?
Any advice appreciated from people who know how best to deal with this situation

I AM a Master Tailor and Armorsmith which really fixes me up, but I also sell the components on a vendor to other Armorsmiths. It's much easier for someone to come and grab off a vendor pre-made than have to wait on a special order for the components. Makes everyone's lives easier!

ok, so you'll want to buy a factory for starters, then just search out a tailor, there's bound to be some around. check your ctrl-p menu. when i need tailor schems i usually pay a tailor around 10-20k for it (some charge more some charge less etc etc..), and i just run it through my own factories. you'll need your own factories eventually anyway unless you are just hologrinding the prof, so you may as well get em now.. run fedex missions for cash if you have to, just get that factory on the ground.
