Thread: Armor and BE tissues
Its a waste of time to try and add BE synthcloth into armor.
BE tissue can only be added to field wear and casual wear clothing dependignon that tissues bonus's.
Then answer me this, BE tissue is put into synthetic cloth or reinforced panel to be used in clothing..correct? The same syn cloth and panels are used to make armor segments.... my alt is an armorsmith. It's not a matter of not being able to put them in, I have done that...
If there is a problem with it, it may be because of the multiple bonuses from the armor segments cancelling each other.
As an armorsmith, I and our guilds master tailor and bio-engineer have worked closely and I have a pair of gloves that show bonuses from BE tissue, whether or not they work is another story.
Anyone have any insight on this? I only made these gloves for fun, just wanted to know if they really worked...

The way the devs explain it, the crafting process that armor goes through is too intensive on the BE tissues, and destroys them. It's just like using too hot an iron on a nice polyestor shirt. It'll melt the finish, but the fabric remains.
The reality is, the devs have said that BE armor would be overpowered. It is the province of tailors, forcing people to choose between lots of stats, or protection.
