Yellow increase base
Red lower encumbrance
White do nothing (just placeholders to fill schematic)
So, you'll want yellow if you need an extra 3% or more base to hit 80. If you can hit 80 without the cube then go for red to make it lighter.
If you hit 48% on the boots, then you need 32% on the layers to hit 80%. THe 2 NS layers and a 3% yellow cube put you at 75%, so now you need an extra 5% from your other layer and your enhancement.
If you use a Krayt scale your nice 80% will no longer be sliceable to 90%. Maybe try to find a set of 5% janta hides instead?
Also, why experiment durability on the stun layer? Since you're just adding a single layer you really won't be saving that much I'd think. You'd be losing something like 1-2% base for -10/-10/-10 or so?
Did you put all your experimention into base on the boots? If so then it looks like you'll be able to hit 80% on base, but will have low kinetic? If you can be patient and gather a few better resources then you might be able to hit 80% and have some points left over to put into kinetic.
What's this about using Geo Cubes? I thought they were used for the Swordsman's Scythe Schematic.
Oh and the Green increases durability (at least it does for the Scythe), and Red reduces HAM.
Ox,
Good point on the stun layers. And I think I may either wait or look around for some better resources before I put it together. I wish I had paid more attention when I was making the boots. I was just so excited. Good points all around.
there is no point in using a stun layer if you ignore the acid vulnerability
you can't overcome two vulnerabilities in my opinion, so......just try to make it light, what is the point in getting a 80% base if a commando, pistoleer, rifleman, BH or others can kill you in one or two hits (acid weapons). how much acid will your krayt scale add? 4%
white cube does nothing
yellow cube adds base%
green cube adds to condition (get a good one with 10k+)
red cube lowers encumberence
DO NOT USE A WHITE CUBE!!!!!!!!! it is waste, it wont do anything. either bump your base up a touch, add some condition or lower your HAM
get a good scale if you are going to use it!!
I made it!! I went around all day and greatly improved my resources to the point where the majority of them were over 600 oq/sr averaged. Not great but definitely better than I had. The resources I had were for making the quest stuff so I didn't care. Anyhow I used the following:
- Interwoven RIS schem
- 2 NS layers 12% base each
- 1 stun layer, maxed base then special
- yellow geo cube 3% base
- krayt scale (pretty good 1 too)
The stats are as follows:
All base stats I got to 80 with just a few points and put the rest in special to bump up the kinetic which I got to 66%- was hoping for higher on thisespecially since the krayt scale added8% kinetic. Acid and Stun were 7%. No vulnerabilities. Mind enc was 200, dont know the rest offhand. This is a little heavy and perhaps should have used an encumbrance geo cube, but the Kinetic would have been lower as a trade off.
Of course I got an effective slice which bumped electricity and restraint to 90%, oh well. I knew something would go wrong. The major drawback to using the Krayt scale...
