Thread: Hmm, are faction armor schematics a faction perk?

I'm debating this issue with a friend who's going master smuggler, master armorsmith. He says that because master smugglers get a 25 percent discount on faction perks, he should be able to get 25 percent off faction schematics.
This has been talk ed about before, I believe, but I don't remember it being asked quite this way. The discussion has always focused on the cost of faction points and the status of the GCW on the planet where you buy them.
I'm only a 4440 smuggler, so I wouldn't be seeing any discount. Does anyone know for sure if an MS/MAS gets 25 percent off the cost of faction schematics?
(And if the answer to this is in the FAQs somewhere, I'm going to shoot myself.)

back when we had the respect period i picked up smuggler for a day, there was definatly a discount on the schmatics.... how much of a percentage it was i dont know.
