I was playing around with some numbers at work & inorder not to waste resources, segs, cores, and such, I wanted to see what the optimum number of cores to make on a set of runs. Being that the max a schematic can run is 1000, this limits thisngs a good bit.
After a little tinkering I have decided that 7 is the magic number of suits to craft from a set of factory runs for the components.
7 suits =
77 cores
231 segs
924 layres
Now I also realize that I need to have a few extra cores on hand in case of a critical failure & I will need a few extra layres & segs for expermintation. These are the numbers I came up with. (I am at work, so if I am off, please let me know.)
7 suits
80 cores
249 segs
1000 layers
See, 7 is the magic number.
Kind of stinks, but I guess you could run multiple factories. I looked at 50 suits to start....
50 suits
550 cores
1650 segs
6600 layers
Eish...............
I still need to add the units of resources used, say for battle with 4 layres of Primus.

IMO doing 4000 layers is the way to go.
4000 layers = 1000 segments = 332 Cores that you can use
11 for the schematic that leaves you with 321 Cores for the factory When you only need 319 Cores. That gives you 2 left over. 2 Cores isnt that big a deal. Throw them in to some bracers or biceps and pop em on to your vendor.

i made 3k segs inorder to make 1k cores... the numbers might not add up, but ppl will run through pants/helm/chest much faster than the arm pieces.

same, my next job is to run 12k layers for the 3k segs

The point of the post was that 1k layres = 7 suits. Just to simplify for anyone who had not run the #s. helps when planning resources. No matter if you run 12k layres or 1k.
Hope it helped a few.
Thanks all.
