So I was tinkering, as all good armorsmiths do, with some enhancers today and realized that in order to make a composite chestplate with NS Layers, I'd need 15 identicals, minimum. How do you guys use your layers when crafting, as I've never seen more than 10 or so identicals drop?

Yup... and with the right layers and a good janta hide 80% preslice base is possible... makes hitting the magic 90% that much easier

I used 10 identical base 3 NS Layers and 5 identical base 4, plus a base 3 Rancor Hide. Pre-slice it had 72% base. Got a 30% Eff slice on it. Was very happy as this was my first 90% base ever.

How are the encumberance stats on it?
