I heard just earlier tonight that there's some kinda Crafting Builder or Simulator or such out there somewhere, kinda like how we have template builders now so you can see how a paticular template does stat-wise.

Just wondering, does such a thing really exist? and if so, got a link? I tried asking in the Weaponsmith forums some time ago, but only got one answer, figured ok, such a thing didn't exist... untill I asked randomly in the guildchat tonight and someone mentioned they had seen one. So I may as well ask again here.

thanks in advance!

I can't figure out how to use the Excel one, the AS's little helper one... yeah, I'm no good with Excel. XD

Uhm, like how do you edit the stats on the resources and the layers to see how the armor's gonna end up? I can't figure out how to change it from what the guy already has put into it. o.o

I know I'm gonna sound like a complete and total idiot... but I still can't figure it out. XD; I don't see any dropdowns, there's the Clear Data buttons, but I still can't figure out how to put in my own values and such for resources I've got laying around and whatnot. :/

Really, chances are this thing is REALLY easy to use, and I'm just missing something obvious... I hope.

I just added the one I have been working on to my sig. Its sorta a hobby, working in Excel. I have integrated my sheet with the AS Little Helper, linking the resources listed in my sheet to it, so you can use a drop-down menu to select resources in the Little Helper.

Its basically done, and I think its bug-free, but I have not used it enough to be completely sure. Mine is a pricing spreadsheet, but using the included (modified) Little Helper (By Umma Gumma on Eclipse) its a nice package. I may at some point make my own version of the LIttle Helper. Its a great help for planning what to use making armor.

Crpa...my bad....I left some residual macro's for the first incarnation of the changes. I am uploading the fixed archive now.

Basically, in order to use the drop-down selection in the "AS Little Helper", you must first make the "Resource" sheet in the "Armorsmith Werkbook" reflect your resources AND THEIR STATS. You do NOT enter any stats in the "AS Little Helper" I have modified. The stats for the resources are entered automatically (into the AS LITTLE HELPER) after you choose the resource you want.

Step One - Open the Armorsmith Werkbook, delete all the resource names and stats I have put there.

Step Two - Enter in your own personal resource names and stats under the appropriate section

Step Three - Make sure the Armorsmith Werkbook and the AS Little Helper are both in the same directory

Step Four - Open the AS Little Helper and IF it asks, let it update the data from an outside file

Step Five - Click on the cell for a resource you want to select in one of the AS Little Helper section

Step Six - Use the little gray button that appears (in the AS Little Helper) to the right of that cell to pull down a list of the resources you just entered in Step Two

Step Seven - Repeat Steps Five and Six for all resources needed for each section you are using.

Hope that helps!

Whooooo do I feel stupid....

I'm gonna take a shot in the dark here and assume, that using Microsoft Excel Viewer, you can't actually edit anything? (which prolly explains why I can't figure out how the heck you delete the resource names and values and replace them with your own in the Werkbook.)

I cant help ya with the Viewer....never used it. It's name might suggest that you cannot use it to change values, yet what good is a spreadsheet if you cant input numbers? Good luck!

Ah-hah, I see. So just where can I get Excel then? Is it something you have to pay for? How does one go about getting/buying it? o-o
