Hi!
I am about to pick up AS on the Wanderhome server. This is my first attempt at this profession, having focused on WS for a long time.
As a WS I have built up an extensive list of resources in Foomans tool. This is a tremendous help (obviously), as I can log on and immedeately identify the best spawn.
But for AS my list is blank. I have no idea which resources are rare and which are not. You get some indication if its a good resources by looking at theoretical max values, but still... An extremely rare resources that is 85% of the max theoretical might be the best thats ever spawned, yet I wouldn't know and start mining some resource thats 96% of max theoretical that spawns like that every month...
Would anyone be willing to give me a copy of their resources from Fooman? Doesn't matter which server. I would just love to have some reference guiding my harvesting efforts...
Post here, PM me or send a backup of your resources (xls file) to: [email protected]
Thanks a bunch!
Regards,
Caife

Doesn't this tool allow you to select armorsmith on the first tab? If it does, I think it will change the properties that are important to you as a AS when viewing your resources as well as the what to harvest options. If your version doesn't, I think there is a modified version which does allow that change.

If I install the new version I can change the tab to include armorsmith. The thing is though, I don't know how much I would benefit from it... For a WS the important stats are CD and OQ. For AS its different. So I would be surprised if much of the stuff I have now would be good for both professions. Probably some, but not very much...
The resurces doesn't have to be in the format of the J&F tool though...
If anyone logs their resources in Excel or something (I need a name and the stats/attributes), then I can use that also. Even just having the name and a reference to which server it spawned and I'll be able to figure out a lot from using swgcraft.

I was a dual Master WS/ Master AS for a long time.
I still use J&F's tool and it has a sheet called all data where you can select which schems to use.
Also, there are some materials that do translate over...but not many, a couple of Steels, and Iron or 2 and maybe a copper.
Good luck bro, AS is a little different than WS but is just as fun.
