Thread: Best Possible Armor for a Master Carbineer
Since you will be only buying 1 set I would make damn sure you are getting the best possible stuff on your server. Primus layers can can range from 30 to 40 so that makes a huge difference. Your on my server so if you want give me a shout ingame and I can work with you personally to ensure you get the armor you want.
PST Moge or Nanasawa ingame. Im on and off a lot and should be on in about 2 hours but will be on tomorrow as well. If you already have an AS in mind you can pass the stats of that armor along and I can offer a second opinion.

Thanks a bunch for the answer. So from what you are saying there is no difference between Top end Padded and Top end Rebel Battle right?
If thats the case I will make a set of Padded as my Top end stuff, and just get my Rebel suit for RP and fun. I will have to get some Faction points, but then again I LIKE shooting Stormies so that will be Fun 
I expect I will end up working with Senno, who is in my guild, and a 12 pointer FS AS. But I would love to hear what you have available to compare, and also let me know what it would cost for that TOP End Suit. If he cannot match yours, I will buy yours, but even if I don't I want to know what I should be paying him for the suit.
Is Smuggler Slicing working properly now, or still borked? I expect to have to make a couple of each piece to get a good slice. Please send me a ingame email with what you think you could make, and a price, and we can go from there. For your trouble either way I have a 10 crate of Bespin Port, 24% exp, , 21 fill 18 uses for you. Let me know where you want it delivered.

On a side note, I would suggest also having your suit krayt scaled and if they ever fix feathered appearance enhancers, have it peko'd as well.... easy +400 health which might make the difference for a crafter/fighter hybrid.
Great Idea! I was thinking that perhaps a couple of the pieces would be RIS, at least the Helm, since the Padded Helm looks lame.
Only issue with RIS is that I will be wearing ORANGE padded. Its kinda my look. All Orange Crazy Chef with a Carbine. Does RIS come in Orange?

I looked at the RIS Helms and Chest pieces, don't they will work for what I'm looking at. Is there ANY cool Helm in SWG? they all seem lame to me, might just stick with my Chef hat!
RIS Layers on the other hand sound like a GREAT idea, I know they will cost me, but if its something that is going to be used for a long time, then it will be worth it. Krayt Scales are a thought too, this is great help!

actually no. NS layers are for recon armor. and peko feathers are busted atm. krayt dragon scales can get the +15 bonuses. janta hides are also possibilities, i cant remember off the top of my head what else.

Can you see on the item before you do the final combine to figure out what is needed? If I have to go kill me some Krayts to get better armor so be it!
the Peko feathers did the same thing correct? add to health? I thought I read somewhere on these boards that they add to the durability?
a few things....you can do a bazaar search for "components" and look at the various enhancements. theres a lot more things that can be used in battle (carbineer certed armor) but most of them are like +5 or so.
peko feathers are supposed to go in a "feathered" enhancment. however, i am under the impression that this does not work as of now. hopefully this will be fixed in the near future
Feathers don't show stats though, so the only way to see what value you will get is to actually make a feathered appearance enhancer then logout and wait, i.e. the same song and dance as with crafted layers atm.
The nice thing about peko feathers, besides hitting values like +16 health or +17 health, is the feathered appearance enhancer is added during the appearance stage, so you only need one per piece and it's no extra hassle on a suit you were probably custom making anyway.
