Anybody worked out the function for armor slices yet? Im seeing variances of 4-6% for my top end capped suits... varies with layers used!

From my "Information on CURB Armor for Customers" post ...
Ignore whatever the system message tells you the armor's general effectiveness was increased by -- the number means nothing as far as I can tell. For armor made with advanced cores, all resists will increase by a number generated by the following expression, where GP is the "general protection" of the armor as determined by the crafting of the core.
DELTA = 1892 - 0.25 * GP
For unlayered armor, GP will always be the special protection resists (acid, cold, electric, heat). For layered armor, particularly primus-layered, GP is a bit more difficult to ascertain on first glance.
Now, the actual numbers may vary by a point or two, as the 1892 is really just a regression (I haven't done much testing of this post-beta).
As far as layered armor goes, it depends on what type of layer you're using. If it's a non-advanced layer (energy or kinetic), your GP will be your environmental resists. If it's an advanced layere, you have to guess your GP from what your unlayered stuff is.
