Thread: Armor Decay Rate To High

Purchased a very expensive set of Ubese armor 4 days ago. I did some PVP and hunted jedi and now its 40k+ condition is under 15k already. 4 FREAKING DAYS! They seriously need to decrease the decay of armor. Not everyone has 500k to blow on armor every week.


P.S. I dont even want to think about faction armor cost/decay.

Faction armor is more like 60-70k condition at least, but yeah, decay is way too fast.

But I only charge 300k per suit of regular armor, 425k per suit of factional... So yeah, if you pay 500k for a suit of Ubese, you gonna be poor quick.

Jedi shred your armor. One battle took my ubese down 3k condition. I died and it was insured and it was considered gcw pvp so the insurance stayed....so it was a huge loss for a 5 minute fight.

Wow 4 days, you are lucky....my armor normaly lasts only2 days tops when i'm grinding.


I wouldn't mind it so much if armor wasn't so darn expensive. At the moment all the money i make in those2 days goes directly to buying more armor.Luckily i only need to buy head, body and leg armor otherwise i'd be poor very soon.

lol well after 1 20 min fight with a Jedi whose auto-attack was headhit my helm went from like 47k condition down to 39k


hehe i blew like 1 mil on it because i had it layered and the a-s hat RAISED the price after he made it "hidden customization fees" applied but werent mentioned heh

I agree. Armor is breaking way too fast. Most of us can not afford to buy7 ADKs. However, those who did and hunt alot will probably pay for them.

Yeah fully agree, armour decays way way way too quick. either bump up non faction armour condition or decrease the decay a tad -_-

From my own testing, armor still seems to use the same decay mechanic from pre-CU or close to it, so it is the amount of damage getting through that causes the decay. In my own test, I shreaded out some 8000 +/- battle armor and some 4400 to compare.


The 8000 which supposedly converts to 55% or so did not last twice as long as the 4400. More like 50% longer, just another example of diminishing returns and a further reason why try to make good armor is not worth it.

This decay are insane as all of you seem to agre with, i run down a 44k armoru to 9k in a 3 hours hunt on dantooine just by kill faction npc. With that rate do an armour survive 1-3 days depending on how good repairs it gets and when pay out per mission is 8-9k per mission i may then earn around 200k per armour and the armorus on lowca cost 300-500k for a normal suite and 1-3 mill for a faction suite so decay needs to get lower or we all will run around naked in the future.


Before CU did an armour survive a 1-3 weeks, i am now talking about a 40k in condition composite. The cash was then also easier to get and the armour costed 200-350k, i dont say it was ok decay rate then but i feel a balance betwen decay and how much you earn and cost on armour do need to get in balance some way and decrease armour decay with 25-75% is one solution. I feel the nummbers on how much decay shall lowers must be tested so we get it balanced. Armours needs to decay for keep buisness comming to the armoursmiths, to low decay would kill the buisness for them so it needs balance.
