Hello,
I keep getting getting to many searches in progress, I see Lithium hasn't changed much.
Anyways I'm returning to SOE after a 6 month Hiatus, and I'm slowly adapting. One thing I can't figure out is my old Composite Armor. While some of the pieces still have stats, others do not. I believe that I still have good armor, but I would like to make sure. Now some pieces have ratings of 6100 Kinetic and 4100 energy with movement thingies my mods negate. Others don't have any stats at all, mainly the boots and gloves. Are these statless items no longer good(as inoffering me protection)are they just bugged, or do they no longer apply anymore?
Also I'm considering armorsmithing again, how have the CU changes affected the profession in your opinion?

Your old armor is now only good for grinding... the new stats were based off the old Base effectivness... Boots and gloves no longer have stats, this is becuase those spots no longer get hit to make it fair for wookies and Trado's.
Now there is 2 types of protection, kinetic and energy... all weapons fall into those catagories, with elemental damage as extra. Assault armor (comp and chitin) are better vs Kinetic than energy, Battle (bone, padded, and maurader) are even on both, and recon (ubese and tantel) is more effective against energy than kinetic.
Basicly all armor is useable and sellable, since there is no more "best" armor.... it'sall in the layers

It was always the layers before if you had the patience to sit and make them over and over again to get what you needed, atleast to make your comp better then his. Since I now know my comp is PVE grinding material, what should I look for in good armor? I only have assault army as an option at this time, I haven't respected yet since returning.
