It is one of the rarer resources that only spawns once every few months. Not all resources types are always in spawn. You will find certain resources where quality matters spawn at good quality only once per every 6 months to a year.

However, quality is no longer important on oridium, so I would recommend putting an add up in you rgalaxy's trade forum looking for some.

weird they wouldent spawn a low concetration constinantly seeing as how it is needed for the ris quest.... its the only thing holding me back right now.... and yes, i did put an ad on the trade fourms, i said 100k for 200 units, lol

Well, they don't want the RIS quest to be TOO easy.

you know, i never thought of it that way, allthough i have been killed several times by the spawns by the hut, i have no combat profession.

To give you some perspective, when RIS was first introduced, the components dropped in singles rather than stacks, their drop frequency was about 1 in 20 for gurk kings and woolamanders, and on the order of 1 in 100 for gdks (the scales sold for ~6 million each). In short, that side of the quest was drasticlaly more difficult than it is now. Also, quality mattered on every resource, so making high quality RIS required getting lucky and grabbing that decent 1 in 6+ month spawn of several of the rarest materials. So, it is all a matter of perception. I spent months gathering what I needed to make one piece, where now you can get all of the loots in a day and use any quality of the unique resources without adversely affecting the final product. I can understand how it may seem difficult for you, but now you see why a lot of veterans see it as easy or even a joke now. Please do nto take this as a flame - I am just letting you know how it was

With that said, if you cannot find any oridium by advertising on your trade forum, I'd recommend contacting known RIS smiths and asking to either purchase a portion of their stash if they have some to spare or asking if they know any resource dealers who have RIS rescources.

Oridium is also a weaponsmith resource so you can check with them, too.

Good point It goes into barrels or T-21's or something, most weaponsmiths probably have a stash, too. Maybe you could get lucky and find a smith has a low qual stash that they'd love to unload.

I'd ask a smith. Considering that quality doesn't matter, it's not that big a deal.

cool thanks for the inputs, i have finished the quest and am now making the parts for the armor. i have primis done and am making segments now, 1015 i think, thats the highest i could get with my resorses. good thing my fighter doesent have arms, that saves me alot of work on bracers and such. now i must hunt there thing, and i dont even know there spawn, i got some hunting to do thanks all.
