The smith needs to have a high level of skill, good materials and a slice of luck.

If you want sockets, go to a master.

No longer : Master Armorsmith / Master Merchant / Master Artisan due to lack of content for non combat characters

just keep making them till you get sockets, it's actually super rare when you get no sockets, at least at master.

I heard that armorweave belts have sockets...but I went to an armorsmith (not master) and got one made. To my surprise it had none...yet someone in my guild has one with sockets..

Am I missing something here? What does the armorsmith have to do to add sockets?!
