I have all the prerecs for armor smith (including xp) and I want to know, what the best way to start/ what branches to go up first. thanks.

It all depends on what you plan on grinding. If you have the money to grind Mabari chest plates then I would go up the experiment tree first so that if you try and make armor to sell it will be half decent quality.
