Thread: Padded Armor & Rancor Segments/Hides

Do the Rancor Padded Armor Segments make good padded armor? If so, which Base % should I look for? I have some that are 24%.
Also, what about the Rancor Hides? Make good Segments? I have some that are 8%.

with the lower ones (12%), i can make 30%+ padded armor (cant remember the exact number
with 26% i made a 56% base padded armor with really low encumbrance

Rancor Hides are useful in some armors. 8% is very good and pretty rare. They aren't as good as Nightsister Layers or Janta Hides, but they're still worth using. Someone on this forum recently made some composite pieces with 80% base resists and 40% stun using 12% Rancor Hides. I really like using them in Tantel armor as well.
Rancor Padded Segments are nice because they make it easy to craft custom padded armor pieces with decent resists and HAM that is actually wearable. I've made some with 24% segments but don't recall stats off the top of my head, sorry

i looted some 29% to 33% ones. i am still looking for so good lokian hide for the final assembly.

Making Padded armor is fun...but the resources are a bit tedious to get >_<
