Thread: i need help crafting good composite

i am a brand new master armorsmith, i read the crafting guid but i wanted to make sure i know how to make it before i start using my expensive recources.
i want to make 80% kinetic 30%stun and as high base as i can get, i am not worried about encumbrance much for the first batch of comp armor i make.
so far i have 500k really good steel and 500k really good intrusive ore. i know it takes a lot of different recources to make comp armor but i was wondering if all of them needed to be good quality.
i am also not sure what i should experiment on, i have 11 points.

you need to pick what type of composite you want to make
either do stun composite or the 80% kinetic. Don't try to mix them together, anyone that I have seen try sucks. If you want to mix types of composite mix a resist with low HAM not 2 protection types. (don't make stun and kinetic armor)
You can hit 80% resist with any of the damage types with pretty crappy resources, however your armor's HAM will be bad. You can really only slice so much. It may be utterly unwearable if you don't at least put a little effort into reducing HAM.
so read some posts here, most of your questions will be answered. GO to page 3, go to page 20, I promise most of your guides and crafting methods will be posted here somewhere.

80% Kinetic with 30% Stun in one suit is not possible. Start making gloves, lots of gloves and practice making different types of layers. You'll start to get it after a few dozen pairs of gloves.
