Thread: LAYER & ADV COMP SEG , AM I MAKING THE MOST OUT OF RESOURCES ? CAN I SET THEM UP BETTER ?

First of all , sorry for the double post but i think the header of the last one was unclear
I was wondering if someone could help me in the way i am setting up my layers and such , i will give a full list of my resorces and how i set them up.
Kinetic protection armor layers
polymer (eheiwan) OQ 965 SR 723 UT 32 MA 891 DR 129
Carbonite steel (mere) OQ 963 SR 896 UT 935 MA 350 DR 900 HR 923 CO 604 CR 794
Amorphous gemstone (quadtrillofiam) OQ 871 SR 102 UT 209 MA 44 HR 691 DR 225 CR 184 ER 150
With these i max out the second line and put the rest in the third (i am a 10 point smith btw) and end up with 4% Base 6% Special
I place 3 of these into an adv comp segment with following resources :
Colat iron (autewpium) OQ 958 SR 736 UT 712 MA 398 HR 774 DR 689 CO 235 CR 448
Polysteel copper (olebide) OQ 699 SR 751 UT 734 MA 978 HR 646 DR 620 CO 938 CR 794
Kiirium steel (eneheo) OQ 553 SR 578 UT 493 MA 66 HR 637 DR 598 CO 64 CR 167
I know the copper or steel is not that good but its the best i can find atm
With these i max out second line and then 2 on the 3rd line and end up with 31% Base 12% Electrical 18% Kinetic , Integrity 1109 HAM 61/61/63
so for the final assembly , the resources are as follows :
Intrusive ore (ewogasais) OQ 931 SR 878 UT 859 MA 539 HR 934 DR 856 CR 888
Fiber plast (ibelen) OQ 923 SR 345 UT 807 MA 277 DR 578
Wooly Hide (ewebi) OQ 920 SR 936 UT 271 MA 495 DR 34

Known solid petro (bera) OQ 986 PE 428 DR 132
I end up with Special Protection 80% Kinetic 75% Electricity and Energy,Blast,Heat,Cold,Acid all 63% , HAM 82/80/85 and thats for gloves
Using the exact same resorces , do you think it is possable to gain any improvment on the Electricity and the Base on the way i set up my layers and segments.

I`m guessing your on Farstar where good Kirium is rare atm.
I use 1/4/5 Kinetic layers for PVP armor.
I use 2/3/5 for PVE sometimes even less on base as it grinding.
You only need 5% on your last line with good resources to make 80% special armor.
With my resources I can make 80/80/65 Armor with HAM being around 77/80/85 on gloves. Which isn`t to bad.

The best way to tell how to experiment differently is to make an unlayered segment write down the base%, thenmake a set of gloves with it. After you do that you should be able to tell what your layers need to be at to hit 80% Kin. Right now I can make 80 Kin/72 Elec/62 Base with Ham's >700 using 4% kin/2% base layers experimenting only on HAM of the layers. I can hit 67-68% base using 4/4 layers but the HAM goes up quite a bit, I think around 900. New resources will deffinately help (final combine resources are nice but new polysteel, kiirium and gemstone will help a lot) but until you can find/buy them keep trying new combo's of kin/base until you find the right one.

hm long time ago that i crafted with 10 points, experiment the layer to 89% on the middle line, then yoi migh have 2 points left (i have 4 then with 12 points) spend them on encumbrance. the layer might have 12/12/12 enc 4% base and 4% kinetic. (with 12 pints i get 10/10/10 sometime 9/9/9 on my kin layer) the segment you experiment the same way, firs the middle line to cap, might have 34% with autewypium and 35% with aliok. other points to enc , enc shall be like 40/40/40 (35/35/38 on my with 12 points). the final chest as example , you experim on the middle line to base max (70%-72% with autewypium, 72-74% with aliok) then the other points on enc (mychests got enc about 235/95/59)
this is an experiemtn example for good / second hand resources and 12 points.
with your res and 10 points you shall be able to get 64% base 80 kin and enc on chest with about 255/105/70.
btw, you using a really **edit**ty a-gems, contact me ingame i may have a 100k block of the last vendussi gems for you with 909 OQ and 780 SR.
this is an experiemtn example for good / second hand resources and 12 points.
with your res and 10 points you shall be able to get 64% base 80 kin and enc on chest with about 255/105/70.
