<-- /poke Dbinky Hi5 , no offense Rocky (i dont know ya) but i was kinda miff'd myself hearing a fellow armorsmith who approved of this system. She was spot on w/ Artisan.......

As a Master Human Artisan, ive Never, Never, had the chance to use my natural 11pt capability - let alone my 12point enhacement. Ill sacrifice myself to a local dune kimo on Lok if this new system hits.

You obviously never made any bone armor or artisan food the extra points come in handy then. Of course making high stats bone under the current system is all about bragging rights and shop display pieces, or maybe annoying the bone bazaar sellers No-one who can afford comp and buffs wears it anyway. Best I have done is 48% energy with adv segments, unenhanced.

your spot on, i decided to make Wookie Armors, not bone , i use Artisan for Vehicles, surveying, powerups, and repair tools however - of which ive never surpass'ed 10 points (even on vehicles w/ great resources). But i dont doubt you could get past 10pnts with perfect resources.

Actually Rocky is one of the better "experimenting" smiths that I'm aware of, so this whole thread seems more like a way to get some attention hence the /flame away comment. Correct me if I'm wrong Rocky, but you won't miss the I crafted the "First of it's kind" posts and the challenge it took to make them?

I will not miss having to grind out amazings I can tell you that much.

From my perception of the new process is there are more steps in making the armor now- wouldnt this replace the the different experiment lines?

With post CU is seems you have to get creative in what layers and such you use replacing the grind to get those dbl and triple amazings.

You seem to miss to obvious here mate. Even in the experimenting of the segments, its 1 line. ITs a rinse and repeat system similar to eq2. This isnt good, this is bad. Why you might ask, well the biggest reason will be diversity. I say this because now all the armors will based upon the good materials and not the knowledge of the smith. Yes some armors out there are the same, but they differ in that some do enc, some do condition, heck I make some composite armors that are designed for hams, and thus dont have 80s in them. MY grinder armors. I also make padded designed for enc. With my designs, I was able to corner the markets on some armors because people didnt think to do them the way I did. In this, its all about loots and segments and then with the segments there are no diversity in those. All soe did was added more steps in putting the armor together to reach the end results we have today. IE, now instead of doing steps as follows: make segments(experiment on 3 possible lines), assemble armor segments and then make armor. Now we have loot stuff for armor, assemble in segments and pray for alot of loot to make the armors nice, then assemble cores, then assemble main cores, then assemble the appearance. This is dumbed down of course, as i think i missed 2 creation areas. Dont know about you, but I dont want to be a robot on a assembly line to have fun.S*** if I want that, I will go to work in real life at chrysler and get all the assembly lines I want.

I dont mind making armor by hand in current system, but with this new system, They can take it and shove it. Guildwars is beginning to look extremely appealing currently.

Don't make me sad, I have a bunch of Krayted bone that built just for low ecumb. All MA and UT. With no holes that any Criter was ever going to hit.... I don't even want to know what its goint to convert into.

My AR1 suits all turning to junk... This Ranger gets sader every day.
