Hi everyone,
I hate to ask 2 questions in one posting but I'm going to go a head and do it
My first question: Ok guys, I've finished the FS Experimentation tree giving me +20 Force Experimentation on top of the normal +100 Experimention that a Master Armorsmith recives... Shouldn't I be a 12 point Armorsmith? I only have 10 points, so I'm assuming something's wrong
Anyone have any simular findings, that the FS crafting line isn't translating to their already existing ablilities?
My second question: This is slightly genralized and I hate to ask but I couldn't find any old posts (lost in time I suppose). How do I get 80% Composite? I've been a Master Armorsmith for a little over a week, and realize that it'll take some time, but if someone could explain the ideal "recipe" myself, and I'm sure many others would appreciate and encourage such an endeavor.
thanks to all the armorsmiths out there for all the helpful posts thus far, and the future posts to come.
I've found a Profession that I truly enjoy

1) FS Experimentation doesn't give you a bonus to your experimentation points. What it does do is quite noticeably boost your chances of achieving an amazing success. So you'll still need to find/acquire +20 to armour experimentation to get your 12 points.
2) To make 80% base composite you need to use high end enhancers such as 10%+ base NS layers, or some seriously uber Janta Hide. And of course, you'll also need to have access to appropriately high quality resources to make the most of those enhancers.
Hope this helps

Well that makes sence then
I was worried that I was doing something wrong
well I guess I'd ask another question which would be, how does one mass produce 80% composite? Taking into account that I have ample resorces of sufficiant qulity, I'm courious whether or not I -could- make factoy creates of, say, composite armor chest plate...
next I would ask a location of where people have been finding armor tapes (jinda, mokk, janta, slugg-panther caves).

ill try to find and bump a thread on 80/80/80 stuff for you
for snigle 80stuff just make your layers of whatever you want max out the middle bar and put the rest in the top one and you should hit 80% with max base. (can be used for kin/blast/energy/cold/acid...)

ooo that would be awesome if you could get that thread to me, I'm itching to start making the 80% comp I'm always used to buying
quick question: How does one make factory crates of comp if you use something like a NS layer, or Janta hide, for an enhancement? Do you just make a schematic with 4 uses (going under the assumption that Janta hide is lootable in stacks of 5)? Or are you forced to go about crafting these peices individualy?

Yes you could factory make Composite. You need crates of Factory made Synth Cloth and REinforced Fiberplast panels also. Its just like making a factory run of triple layered composite segments. Armor is in crates of 25 also (if i remember correctly).
For armorsmith tapes - Lord Nyax, Tusken Witch doctors, Lord Nyax, Tusken Observers, Lord Nyax, Lord Nyax, Lord Nyax..........lol.

I realize that Composite armor can be made in a factory, but what about advanced composite layers in large quanities? I just made a run of 4 using kinetic layering and janta hide, (looteda janta hide set of 5, so I used 1 for the schematic and 4 for the create) so I could make a composite armor chestplate.
can I use any janta hide for use in the foctory shematic, or do I need to stick with one set (like my set of 5 mentioned previously) and run off several creates of four?
This is a question I'm -sure- other new armorsmiths or wondering and waiting for someone to ask
Thanks to all the direction thus far! Please keep it coming!

I believe the number of enhanced segments relies entirely upon the number of Rancor/Janta Hides or NS layers/shards etc in a drop.
As far as I know the largest loot drops are 11 pieces with Janta Hides having a maximum of 7 per drop. (if thats wrong please do say so)
For example:- say you have 7 x Janta hides you can make a maximum of 6 segments from that as one is lost to the schematic, hence a factory run of Janta Chest plates is impossible (now).
