He sliced a full set of armorfor me lastnight in front of the cnet starport. Out of all 9 slices, only one was under 34%. He sliced my helmet and chestplate for over 40% on base effectiveness. I didnt think that was possible. You guys should look the dude up. Clyde chills in front of the starport just about every night.

You're right its not possible, 35% is the cap on effect slices.

Then how was he able to slice over 40%. I did the math because I've heard that 35% is the cap but it came out at over 40%. He sliced for a bro of mine and said he got a 44% slice. Has something been changed?

I thought 35% for weapons and 45% for armor was the cap...

As I understand it: it's 35% max for Base Eff (damage for weapons), and 45% max for Encum (speed for weapons). And all the slicing I've done seems to support that theory.

Hangman, I don't suppose you'd be able to provide some screenies of the armour? Pre/Post slice would be nice, but any pic of the helmet/chestplate and any other item with an encum slice would do...

Eh? I was under the impression that 35% was the cap for weapons regardless of whether it was a damage or speed slice..At least I have never
gotten a slice higher than 35% for weapons..

I thought they banned a bunch of people and fixed this exploit.

I'm a Master Smuggler and have been slicing for... well... too long

Just to clear everything up:

Maximum possible encumberance slice is 45%

Maximum possible effectiveness slice is 35%

Maximum possible speed/damage slice is 35%

There have been no changes. If the guy said that he got slices higher than the above numbers or if you calculated the slice % to be higher than those numbers then:

1) He is lying

2) He used a double-slice exploit (unlikely, since this was fixed). It couldn't have been the pup exploit since he was slicing armour.

3) You mis-calculated

And lets not forget the number one most important part of slicing....ITS RANDOM. You cant say that getting a certain person to slice your item will guarantee any slices %. So even if ol Clyde got the best danged slices ever the next time he could do all 15% for all you know. And i am speaking as a master smuggler who has sat and sliced crates of weapons to get that title! ( Now thats grinding bleh)
