G'day all

Ok here is what im thinking, I love the look of padded armour and im bored of walking around in comp looking like a clone of everyone else.

Im interested in what are the best stats you have made for padded armour?

Thx for your time

I've got the base stat's near 50% without much effort or enhancments. Haven't put in the effort to see how good it could get. I just like the look and colors

Padded armor is a little different then the other armors. Ubese you just max out special protection, and composite just max out all resistances and dont worry about encumberance. Padded armor is a little more tricky. You pretty much have to decide what you want.

Base protection - good padded armor will have at least 50% base.

The best I have made is 51% base 78% kinetic or energy. I also made a 25% stun 51% base suit that did very well.

You could probably go with 12-13% stun/14% acid/51% base if you can find the armorsmith that makes it.

For most players I think 70% kinetic would be enough. And 50% base is good with that. Unless they are hunting rancors and Night sisters etc all day long. I am personally going to specialize in padded. Too much competition up on the composite market. And the resources are way more intensive. At least as far as I can tell at this time.

Trust me, Padded armor is more resource intensive than Composite with all the hide you need. Dont know why the devs made it that way, but it is.

My best Padded Armor is about 74/49, but again i havnt put much effort into it.

g'day to you too mate,

My standard Padded comes out to 74% Kinetic. I think of it as upscale Ubese.

I can make 80%kinetic/51%base without enhancers...but I try not to sell it because of the organic requirements. Every time someone asks how much for a set, I tell them. A good 70% of the time their response is, "But, thats as expensive as Composite." I usually follow up with, "Yup."

I would love to see the stats on the resources that make 80% kin padded. I dont mean to be a dink but thats about as close to perfect resources as you can get.

I was actually charging 275k for a suit of layered padded armor. People paid it. I had a bunch of suits on my vendors, and they all sold withing a week. Pink/purple, Maroon/Black (which was the best looking suit ever) Blue/Black, Blue/Red, Silver/White. Anything to make them look unique, people bought it, plus it had 78% kinetic or energy.

It was bad because I had an incredibly old lokian leathery hide, that I didnt really know the value of. It has seriously been a year on Naritus since the last decent lokian leathery hide spawn. The hide I had sold for 450:1 when Icancelled my account and sold my stuff. Pretty incredible. that's about 150k cost for the hide for each suit of padded armor.

I hate that hides cost so much, and padded armor requires so much of it.

It's been a while since a good Lokian Leathery on my server too. I had to pay 110 cpu for something good. Kinda sad that they don't let the new folks catch up with the old folks in 6 months with respect to resources. Even if the new folks pay attention to swgcraft every day.
