Can anyone please explain to me what exactly an armor segment enhacer is, and where I might find one? Thanks.

I'd wager they are the the new skill armor and cloth enhancers that have been dropping since patch. I have askedthe board a few times about this but everyone seems to only speak composite. Personally I think a full suit of skill enhanced composite would be the cats ass. I have a few of these but have yet to be able to try tocraft one in a armor plate. Lets just hope they can do some retrofit with the older ones....

So then what we have here is a dilema of sorts. What do theseenhancers drop from specifically?

There seem to be 2 distinctly different "enhancements" that drop..

1) is the skill tapes for clothing and the armor segment looking deals that are MEANT to apply the same way to armor (IE if it had sockets it would add to the armor in question the stats listed..

2) are NEW this patch and are meant to enhance armor in its creation process on a per segment basis.. not done much testing but i beleive there are 2 types here as well.. part 1 goes INTO the optional slot and has no name on it at all just buffs the segment.. the other is a finished segment that can be used IN PLACE of the crafted segments we can make ourselves..

But with no developer info on what is or is not bugged its nigh on impossible to know for sure what any of this stuff is really used for

This may seem like a silly question for those who know, but can someone please tell me where I can find armor segment enhancers? Apparently they are required for chitin armor.

There is no required component for chitin segments other than bone and metal.

Sorry, you said "armor" and I read "segment".

I assume you are talking about the skill enhancers that are dropped by NPCs. These are not required to be used and in fact, to my knowledge, no one has figured out how to even use them yet.

when i create a arorweave segment it asks for segment enhancers....are those like NS layers or kliknik shells?

then what do i do with kliknik shells and NS armor layers
