I'm working on (or trying to get started) Xaan's missions at the Imp outpost on Dantooine. His first mission tells me to go see somebody and retreive some sample. When I get there I get attacked by one of his cronies and once I kill him I go to my target to talk to but he attacks me. Once I kill these characters I check for loot and hope to retrieve my sample but I dont. Has anyone experienced this or know the solution around it?

just do /conv from far away on the guy and he will follow you i believe or you talk to him and he'll give it to you

I think you're talking to the wrong guy. The NPC you're talking to, I believe, is just a herald for the Dantari Village POI. There's another similar herald on Yavin that points you to an Imp vs Rebel battle east of the Labor Outpost and South of the Mining Op.

For the Imperial PSG quest you need to talk to the NPC inside the building behind the Imp Recruiter in the Dant Imp Op (whew, that was a long breath). I forget his name, but he's NOT an Imperial Officer and doesn't give any faction for the missions. I also seem to recall that they're exceptionally easy. Then visit the record keeper at the Mining Outpost, reset the quests, and do it again After, of course, you've done all the other planet-wide quests. There are a lot of Imperial Faction points to be made by doing all the Dantooine NPC quests. I got my AT-ST on Bria in an afternoon doing them and a handful of missions.

Imperial Outpost on Dantooine:

If you go to the Imperial Rectruiter, that allows you to declare etc etc, go inside the house that he stands by.

Talk to Xaan (Xaen Xean) or something like that.

Do 3 quick missions for him and recieve the IMP PSG Schematic, reward.

make a /conv macro for your hotkey

when he attacks you, run away.. don't hit him

keep on going until he finally breaks aggro, then spam your /conv hotkey

You can reset the quests on each planet so you can do them 2 times if you want. All you do is talk to a NPC and it will be reseted.

Each PSGschematic has a max limit of 5. So you can max do 5x332 PSGs.
