Is there a site out there somewhere where I can see pictures of all the different armor types with indicators as to what is the primary and what is the secondary color?

I need to order some custom armor, and I figured I might as well get armor in some cool colors while I'm doing it.

Thanks in advance, armor guys! you guys rock!

padded, mabari, maurader, tantal- lots of pretty colors, order whatever you want

chitin, ubese- not a lot of options, especially chitin (most are earthy tones, and you don't get the bright colors)

composite- you should know these colors

bone- you really don't want custom bone?

RIS- do a search there are plenty of threads with colors

Yeah, this doesn't help me because I can't tell the difference between mabari and composite or ubese or whatever. I'm sure I've seen them all, but I don't know which name goes to what armor.

Here are the maincolor palettes used by armorsmith and tailors. This will at least give you a place to start. I'm doing a lot of this from memory so anyone please jump in and correct me if I'm wrong.

Composite uses the 144 metallic palette. Pick one color. This is as easy as it gets.
Ubese uses the leather palette 1 (90+ colors). Pick one color. Ubese gloves can't be colorized.
Padded uses the 255 palette twice. Pick one color for the panels and another for the base.

Chitin and RIShave theirown palettes. I'm not going to worry about them here.

Now things get more complicated.

The palettes used in mabari vary depending on the piece you're crafting. The chest, gloves, and legs use the 255 palette for the main color and the 144 metallic pallette for the skirt, plates on the gloves, and the chest thing with the hoses. Mabari boots and helmets use two colors from the 144 metallic palette.
Marauder armor mainlyuses the 255 palette and the 144 metallic palette. The chest, leggings, and biceps require two choices from the metallics and two choices from the 255 color. The helmet and bracers require one choice from each palette. The gloves are one choice from the 255 color palette. The boots use leather palette 1 and the 144 metallic, but the colors work together strangely.
I believe tantel is similar to marauder in its coloring.

Bone armor uses the 144 metallic and the leather palette 1 as accent colors. Don't expect much color with bone.

I don't feel like tackling the wookiee armors. Hunting armor has a couple of unique palettes for the feathers, and coloring ceremonial and black mountiain armor is like staining wood. The ithorian armors also have some unusual choices.

Bottom line: Picking specific colors for your armor can be very difficult, and you can quickly irritate your armorsmith if you try to be too picky. Padded, comp, and ubese are the simplest armors to get specific about. The best advice I can give you is to use what I have written to see what is possible and then simply give your armorsmith an idea of what you would like. "Bright red and black padded," "dark green ubese," or "blood red composite" should suffice.
