Thread: Ok, so a little speculation about my stash of pre-CU boots and gloves with sockets

I'm still annoyed that boots and gloves really are considered armor and that they have the restriction.

I loved to use Padded boots for my normal clothes. And Padded gloves. But I'm no longer certified for those

So, I thought I would prepare for the CU by stocking up on socketed items, a 1000 ubese shirts, mabari belts, gloves, and boots. I figured that eventually they will bring in top dollar. Shirts and belts seem to work find, and I know that refitting 4 sockets turns into 3 sockets, HOWEVER, my boots and gloves retain the pre-CU condition and decay extremely fast. This is obviously baffling me, since gloves and boots are supposed to be no hit area's. With my combat alt I wanted these pieces to be free no decay sockets. Now, first of all does anyone know why the gloves and boots take condition loss and is it on purpose? And more importantly since condition doesn't matter, do skill mods stick when condition hits 0? I'm sure I am not the only one wondering about this, i hope....


Ok.... so like an idiot I answer one question and make myself feel like anbig retard5 min later. It appears that they dont decay as normal armor. They lose 5% condition when slain so the big condition number functions like x/100 on the new ones. However I am still curious about skill mods sticking - anyone have experience?
